Apologetics in Manchester aims to promote a reasoned approach to faith and, to that end, to foster enquiry and debate in respect of key apologetic issues. To that end, we are pleased to provide information regarding a forthcoming event: "The Christian Roots of Science" with Dr. Jonathan Sarfati Sat 17th September 2016: starting 7pm at Emmanuel Community Church, Houldsworth Mill Stockport SK5 6DD One of the major attacks currently aimed at the Christian message is that the creation story in Genesis is incompatible with science, thus undermining the credibility of the rest of the Bible. To open up the debate, Apologetics in Manchester are privileged to host a meeting in combination with Creation Ministries International where Dr Jonathan Sarfati will talk about the Christian Roots of Science and present the possibility that a literal understanding of Genesis is not to be easily dismissed. |
To understand and to be able to deal with these issues with clear understanding and respect is important for those who are searching for truth, either as believers or non-believers. We look forward to a fascinating and learned talk followed by a moderated discussion addressing both sides of the creation/evolution argument.
